Burglaries are increasing in Britain, according to recent studies that were undertaken by insurance companies throughout the UK, The studies list the places where break-ins are most likely to get worse over the next few years and give some scary numbers.

Hampshire was identified as the UK’s hotspot for increased burglary activity in the analysis from Compare the Market, but it forecast a 24% increase in burglaries for the rest of the nation from now through 2026.
Researchers at the price comparison website analysed data for home burglaries that took place in the years from 2015 to 2021 and paired it with a predicting model. They discovered that a 70% increase in burglaries was anticipated in Hampshire by 2026.
This surge exceeds the general rise in England and Wales by a significant margin. The number of burglaries is expected to significantly increase in Cumbria, Kent, Cleveland, Lincolnshire, Dyfed Powys, Sussex, and Cheshire. Greater Manchester has increased by 7.6% which continues to increase.
While the data indicate that house invasions are set to rise steadily across most of the UK, there are some regions where crime is on the down. According to the data from the Compare the Market research, burglaries in Cornwall and Devon are expected to drop by 30% over the next five years. Leicestershire, Bedfordshire, Essex and other counties in the county where fewer break-ins are anticipated.
